Philip Folsom is an anthropologist, author, and former elite U.S. Army warrior who integrates the ancient wisdom of warrior cultures into modern leadership practices. With a focus on resilience, teamwork, and peak performance, he empowers organizations to thrive in today’s dynamic environment.

As the founder of Wolf Tribe, Philip has transformed the organizational cultures of world-renowned companies such as Apple, Disney, SpaceX, Google, and Red Bull. Additionally, he serves as a leadership instructor at USC’s Marshall School of Business, where he works with the Master of Business for Veterans Program, shaping the next generation of resilient leaders.

Through his signature "Wolf Wisdom," workshop, Philip explores humanity’s 35,000-year partnership with wolves, redefining leadership by emphasizing kinship, collaboration, and mutual support.

Philip is also the co-founder of Valor Resiliency, an initiative dedicated to empowering veterans, first responders, and high-stress professionals through resilience training and support.

A firm believer that "The Time of the Lone Wolf is Over," Philip advocates for the power of strong, connected communities in both personal and professional life. He resides in Venice Beach, California, with his wife, daughter, and their Belgian Malinois.

TANYA FOLSOM

FOUNDER

Tanya Folsom is the Founder of Wolf Tribe, a transformative leadership and character development company inspired by the wisdom of the wolfpack. She is a passionate leader dedicated to empowering others through personal growth, community, and leadership development. With a heart for mentorship and a drive to help people unlock their potential, Tanya creates programs and experiences that inspire transformation.

She is also the visionary behind RavenWolf Woman, a women’s community focused on leveling up in relationships, fitness, career self-mastery, and personal development. Tanya leads a youth character development and leadership program, drawing lessons from the wolfpack to teach teamwork, trust, and resilience through immersive experiences like retreats and ropes courses.

With over 20 years of experience as an educator, Tanya brings a deep understanding of how people learn and grow, using her expertise to shape meaningful, lasting change.

Beyond her work, Tanya enjoys life in Venice Beach, CA, with her husband and daughter, where she embraces adventure and fosters a life rooted in connection and growth.

    Preston O'Connell

    DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

    Preston O'Connell has been a dedicated member of the Wolf Tribe team for the past 8 years, currently serving as the Director of Development. He is a certified CCM, an EMT, and a LAPD firefighter, bringing a diverse range of skills and expertise to his work. Preston has a deep passion for helping children realize their full potential, working tirelessly to provide them with the tools, guidance, and support they need to succeed. Whether it's through mentorship, coaching, or advocacy, he is committed to creating opportunities for youth to grow and thrive. Beyond his professional life, Preston is a proud father and husband.

    EJAY Menchavez

    DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH

    Ejay Menchavez is an army ranger and graduate of the USC Master of Business for Veterans Program. He is a masterful facilitator and head of Wolf Tribe’s Youth Development Program.

    Carolina Saverin

    Carolina Saverin is an accomplished acrobat, singer, and actor, as well as a passionate leadership educator and facilitator with the Wolf Tribe. With three years of experience, she has dedicated herself to helping individuals navigate challenges, build connections, and grow into empowered leaders. Carolina thrives in dynamic, outdoor environments and finds joy in working with motivated individuals who are eager to learn and push their boundaries. Her commitment to personal development, coupled with her creative background, enables her to bring a unique, engaging approach to leadership education.

    Jeffrey Reynoso

    Jeffrey Reynoso, a proud LA native and former Marine, joined WolfTribe in 2021, where he quickly rose into a leadership role within the organization and his community. Through the teachings of Wolf Wisdom and the support of the WolfTribe community, Jeff has embraced a life of service, teamwork, and making a meaningful impact. In addition to his work at WolfTribe, Jeff is pursuing his true passion for music and enjoying the outdoors. His commitment to growth, both personally and professionally, continues to drive him forward.

    Austin DeKoning

    Austin is our resident ropes expert who loves helping people build competence and leadership skills in the outdoors.

    When he’s not with Wolftribe, Austin runs Spearhead Adventure Co., a Los Angeles-based canyoneering instruction company.  He also works in the entertainment industry, specializing in rigging for concerts, live events and stunt work.

    In his free time, you can reliably find Austin in the mountains—either exploring California’s Sierra Nevada or returning to the rugged peaks of the Pacific Northwest, where he grew up.
