YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Youth Leadership & Character Development Program

At Wolf Tribe, we believe that true leadership starts from within. Our Youth Leadership & Character Development Program harnesses the wisdom of the wolfpack to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders. Through transformative experiences that blend outdoor adventure, hands-on learning, and real-world application, we help students build essential leadership skills, foster emotional intelligence, and grow in confidence.

  • "I have had the pleasure of working with Tanya and Philip Folsom of Wolftribe since 2016, and I cannot recommend their services highly enough. Their dedication to fostering personal growth and team cohesion is truly inspiring. They have expertly facilitated several team-building retreats, leadership workshops, and experiential education programs for both our students and teachers."

  • "From start to finish, my school's outing with Wolf Tribe was an outstanding adventure that left a lasting impression on me and the students. First and foremost, the planning process was a breeze. Tanya and the teams at Wolf Tribe were incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. They worked closely with us to customize the trip to align with our educational goals and curriculum. Their flexibility and willingness to accommodate our specific requirements made the planning process seamless."

  • "I wanted to send a quick note about how amazing the leadership class has been with Wolf Tribe. Not only have I seen such a difference during the actual class sessions with how the kids are working together, but we are also seeing the effects in the classroom."

  • "Fourth grade has truly benefited from Wolftribe this year as almost half of our students were either new to the school this year and/or joined in January through May of last year. Wolftribe has greatly assisted us in creating our classroom community this year and has also given the students an opportunity to see each other’s strengths. "

Key Program Components

Building Strong Teams

Like a wolfpack, great leaders understand the power of unity and collaboration. Students will engage in group activities that teach the value of working together toward a common goal, with a focus on alignment and belonging.

Leadership & Adaptability

True leaders adapt to challenges and grow stronger through them. Our program encourages students to step out of their comfort zones, develop resilience, and embrace change with confidence and flexibility.

Conflict Resolution & Healthy Communication

Wolves thrive because they know how to navigate conflict with respect and clear communication. Through dynamic exercises, students will develop the skills to engage in healthy conflict, resolve disputes, and improve their communication abilities.

Real-World Leadership

With ropes courses, retreats, and interaction with real wolves, our program connects theory with practice. Students will put their leadership skills to the test in real-world situations, forging a deeper understanding of responsibility, integrity, and trust.

Onsite Programs at Your School

Wolf Tribe offers the unique opportunity to bring our leadership and character development programs directly to your school. Our onsite programs are designed to be flexible, engaging, and impactful, providing students with tailored learning experiences without leaving the comfort of their campus. Whether it's a one-day workshop or an extended series, we work with schools to create custom programs that meet your community’s specific needs.

  • "During closing meeting the other day, numerous kids celebrated how the class worked together during PE on a game of basketball and attributed it to what they've learned in leadership. Also, the Wolf Tribe staff is teaching the kids to use I statements instead of "we," so that they are taking ownership for their actions. Greer started to say "we made this mistake..." and then changed it to "I made this mistake..." I told Jacob at class and he recognized her at the end of class! At the beginning, a lot of the kids didn't love the class because it was hard and uncomfortable, but now they cheer on Mondays when we are reviewing the schedule for the day! I'm really so happy we have this class in our schedule. Thank you so much!"

  • "On the day of the field trip, everything ran like clockwork. The activities were not only fun but also tied seamlessly into our curriculum, making the learning experience meaningful and memorable. Safety was a top priority for Wolf Tribe. They took all necessary precautions to ensure the well-being of our students, which gave us peace of mind as educators. From health and safety protocols to the supervision of the students, their attention to detail was commendable."

Stephanie Ferri, 9th grade Dean, The Archer School for Girls

  • "fourth grade is often a transitional year for students in many ways. Socially and emotionally they are often discovering themselves and friendships at this age are also changing and evolving. Wolftribe provides them a great opportunity to not only work as a whole group but they often work in smaller groups/teams as well where they can work with students they may not have had an opportunity to work with before. As teachers we have seen the positive effects that Wolftribe has had and that sense of camaraderie has been present in the classroom as well when working on partner and/or group projects."

  • "Each retreat has been thoughtfully crafted, providing meaningful experiences that encourage collaboration, communication, and self-discovery. The impact on our community has been profound, with participants returning energized and equipped with new skills. Wolftribe has transformed the way we approach teamwork and leadership, and I look forward to continuing this journey with them!"

Nicole Trotta, San Diego Jewish Academy

  • "I think that they have been really great with the sixth graders. When I have observed the classes, I have been impressed with the ability of the instructors to create meaningful debriefs out of games that they play and their personal connections with the students, especially considering that they only get to spend one hour a week with them. The students seem really engaged as well, and something I have noticed in recent weeks is students who do not normally spend time with each other high fiving each other, and students who I would not expect to be the "stars" of typical PE or physical activities really shining and being recognized by their peers."
